The SDXC/eMMC host controller connects the host system to external SD memory, SDIO and MMC/eMMC devices, including embedded SD and eMMC devices.
The host controller is compliant with the latest SD 3.01 and eMMC 4.5 specifications. It supports Ultra High Speed (UHS-I) transfer rate and DDR data transfer up to 104Mbytes/sec. Functions like CRC, data tuning and secure transfer are all implemented. It is optimized for ASIC as well as low cost FPGA implementations.
Standard SD host register set is implemented so that it is compatible with all existing software. No special driver is needed so using this IP core lowers development cost significantly.
