Imec is a leading R&D lab for nano-electronics. Our goal is to create the solutions and building blocks for a better, healthier life in a sustainable environment - through innovations in nano-electronics. We are an expertise center in, amongst others, sub-10nm chip scaling, next-generation wireless solutions, silicon photonics, electronics for life sciences, wireless body sensing, imagers, organic photovoltaics and OLED displays.Imec offers design IP building blocks in wireless technologies. These innovative blocks are top-notch in terms of performance metrics, power and area consumption. They include wireless modules for low power, high speed communication and sensor applications: ADCs, radio modules, processor cores and analog front-end modules. Imec offers its IP in wireless technology to industry partners and research institutes, either through IP licensing, or through bilateral partnership projects. Imec has its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, where we have our main labs and state-of-the-art cleanrooms. We have additional R&D teams in The Netherlands, China, Taiwan, and India, and offices in Japan and the USA.Our staff of over 2,080 people includes more than 670 industrial residents and guest researchers.
